 Rat Ka Nasha, Asoka (2001)

Director’s Santosh Sivan’s much boasted pièce de résistance Asoka has won international acclaim for the stylish-historical direction of the film. A good dosage of lyrical songs, fantastic envisioning of the War of Kalinga, spectacular locales and fine cinematography is what Asoka bets on!

 Bheda Ghat, Jabalpur

One of the most famous songs of Asoka, `raat ka nasha` — the seducing number from the movie — caught with the red hot imagination of the audiences. Sequenced on femme fatal Kareena Kapoor, seen sizzling in off white-half-length skimpy clothes against the marble rocks, on the bamboo raft- the song is set in the picturesque locales of Dhundhaar falls in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.  Raat ka nasha is one of the few songs that capture the unfazing beauty of Bhedaghat and the marble mountains girdling the banks of Narmada Ghat. Since time immemorial the enrapturing beauty of Bhedaghat has pushed many bollywood directors to set in it immortal songs, like O Basanti in Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai.

Dhundhaar Falls, Jabalpur

Bhedaghat Marble rocks are popular tourist spot in Jabalpur district Madhya Pradesh. Situated on the right side of the Narmada River, 30 km from Jabalpur, Bhedaghat is acclaimed for the Dhuandhar Falls, white marble rocks and a 10th century Chausath Yogini Temple that dots the surrounding in sanctification. The marble rocks of Bhedaghat displays many hues of metallic green and black which is a result of volcanic eruptions and gushing waters of Narmada River. During the season, peddle-boating and motor-boating is facilitated for the tourists along with the ropeway facility.  Boating in Narmada Waterfalls is prohibited because of high water levels and it is always safe to view it from a distance.
