| Rang De Basanti won `Best Film` title in the Filmfare Award in 2007 and was acclaimed as un-pronounced portrayal of patriotism that caused a stir in emotions of every Indian. Set up in a rustic Indian milieu of villages, forts and other selected monuments and forts of India, the movie was pictured in New Delhi, Agra, Rajasthan, Punjab and Mumbai. One such occasion is where Soha Ali Khan shot the scene at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, which was masqueraded as Delhi University. Interestingly enough, the All India Radio Station scenes were pictured at Modern School, Barakhamba Road. On another occasion in the movie, the mourning and protest scene was amazingly shot at India Gate. And not to forget, the crazy, Gung ho masti ka pathshala song was recoded at Baoli at Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur. The whole of area was decked up for the movie scene. Besides, Nahargarh Fort was used extensively for stills in RDB. Locales of Punjab like Golden Temple (Amritsar), Manji Saab Gurudwara , Sarai Lashkari Khan (Ludhiana, Bilanwali Masjid and Gharka was captured to a real effect in the blockbuster. India Gate  The largest of all War Memorial, India Gate was constructed Gate was constructed as a memorial to commemorate the memory of 90,000 soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I. Modern School, Barakhamba Road  One of the elite educational institutions in India started under British Raj; Modern School Barakhamba is placed near Connaught Place. Though the schools doesn’t directly films in, rather it’s the same spot where the gang of friends DJ, Laxman, Aslam, Karan and Sukhi enter into All India Radio Station. The moment the guys acquaint themselves with the news of the Minister receiving the Bharat Ratna award, in sheer indignation they contemplate for their next plan of action. Meanwhile Sukhi and Karan enter into tiff over Karan’s father’s involvement with the case. DJ intervenes the brawl and asks Sukhi to calm down. It is the moment when all four friends decide hijacking the radio station. India Habitat Center  India Habitat Centre or IHC in short is capital’s best convention center and a significant cultural and intellectual destination for Delhites looking for some matters gray. It is located in the heart of Siuth Delhi at Lodhi Road. In the Film IHC is shown as the DU( Delhi Univesity) where (Alice Patten), a student from London takes auditions for her documentary film. She is helped by Sonia (Soha Ali Khan). Nahargarh Fort  Smallest of all the three forts at Jaipur, the Fort is famous for commanding views of Man Sagar Lake. The Fort is also known by the name of Tiger Fort as it served as a hunting residence of Maharajas. The eclectic ecstatic song masti ki paathshala song was filmed very much at the Baoli, Nahargarh. All the five friends can be seen frolicking and fun making when Sonia plans them to introduce to Sue, the filmmaker. Fort Sahnewal  Sahnewal Fort is situated 50 km ahead of Ludhiana. The Fort is widely associated with yesteryear film star Dahramender as it is his birth place. Ajay comes back only to propose marriage to Sonia, a sentimental moment for the whole group of friends. A song follows tu bin bataye mujhe le chal kahi ... and the scene is that of Sahnewal Fort. Golden Temple, Amritsar  Golden Temple or Swaran Mandir in Amritsar is the holiest place for the Sikhs. It was built during the time of the 5th Guru of the Sikhs Guru Arjan Dev. Daljeet (Aamir Khan), Mitro(Kiron Kher), Sonia( Soha Ali Khan) and others were seen offereing prayers and than Aamir taking a holy dip in the Sarovar of Golden temple. Aamir was in a red T shirt, and a blue jeans and jacket. His head was covered with a Saffron “patka”. Soha was in a yellow and bright pink Salwar Kameez. Other shot in the Golden temple was when Aamir was partaking the "Karah Prasad" at the Darbar Sahib.
