Synopsis

A 16th Century epic grounded on Jodha Bai and Akbar’s life, the movie explores unsung and unconditional love between the two important historical figures of Indian history. Jodha Akbar is a story of conquers, religion, politics and true love.

The movie that bagsied several awards and nominations at 54th annual Filmfare festival, Jodha Akbar is known to sweep audiences of their feet just because of its sets and shooting venues.  The film’s shooting was held at several places in North India including Agra, Rajasthan et al.  Those who have thoroughed the movies can make out the scenes at Amber Fort, Agra Fort and Dargah of Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan. The scene where Hritik Roshan is shown praying for his success in conquering whole of India is the Dargah of Ajmer Sharif, Rajasthan. On similar occurrences the Fort of Amer and Amber are pictured in the narration. Jodha (Aishwarya Rai) when cooking for Akbar (Hrithik Roshan) uses the same Kadhai which is placed in Amer Fort in Jaipur.  The movie uses stunning shots of Agra Fort’s fab exteriors as well as interiors. In addition, several scenes at Sambhar, Faloti Village, in Rajasthan were also captured on camera amid the sandstorm and dust. Ashutosh Gowariker has also incorporated many shots and scenes at Dhula, on the outskirts of Jaipur.
