Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)                               

The super-duper hit movie of the year 1999, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam revved an opening for Aishwarya’s career hike and her real-life romance with beau Salman Khan. HDDCS was liked and endorsed by Indian populace for the Salman-Aishwarya chemistry, song lyrics and the locales that it was shot at. Huge havelis, beautiful outdoor locations and song scenes spots as well. The rustic and imperial haveli which is supposed to be the dwelling place of Aishwarya and family’s dwelling palatial home is located in Gujarat. Centred around a Gujarat’s traditional family the Haveli setting syncs with the story. Then on other instance when Ajay Devgan comes to know about Aishwarya’s past affair and drags her down the winding stairs, the scene was very much sequenced at Orchard Palace, Gujarat. Much of the scenes in movies are to the credit of Gondal Palace where Aish slept, had her wedding ceremony and the pond where the song chaand chupa badal mein was pictured. On the similar lines, Chattris in Bhuj is the same place where Ajay spent first night with his wife and Salman and Aishwarya take mock vows of marriage in HumDil De Chuke Sanam. During the shoot of the movie, Aishwarya Rai lived in Vijay Vilas Palace, Mandavi in Kutch district of Gujarat and also the Palace was oft-shown in HDDCS.
