India Bollywood Film Cities
Those magnanimous forts, palatial bungalows, perfectly still lakes, bustling market place don’t you get awed by these places where your favourite Bollywood stars enact the scenes with aplomb and set the screen on fire. Chances are there that the scenes of a hero giving a hot chase to the bad guy in a bustling marketplace or the heroine crooning to her love in a medieval castle or some daredevil action stunts right in the vegetable market are actually shot in a film studio.
The film cities are the places where under a single roof, beginning with shooting to post-production every type of facilities are made available to the different bollywood production houses shooting their films here.
Film producers and directors vouch for the Film cities because the entire space remains under control in contrast to the uncertainties of shooting outdoors. The locations are made to order and that saves both time and money. So the Bandra Police stations, precise palaces inside the Agra forts, the bustling Crawford market are all created within the Film cities by scores of technicians working round the clock.
Surprisingly, for film crazy nation like India there are only 4 film cities of repute. These are located in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Noida near Delhi. The Ramoji Film City of Hyderabad is supposed to be the largest of them all. However smaller film studios also exist in cities like Bangalore and Kolkata. Here is your chance to see all those huge sets or even perhaps a shooting in progress. A trip to the film city or a studio is an enlightening experience to say at the least.
