Slumdog Millionaire(2008)
Slumdog Millionaire has made sensation by winning the maximum number of Oscar nominations and than bagging 8 oscars in different categories. This included two for the enigmatic musician from Chennai A.R.Rahnam.
It was Dharavi, Asia`s largest slum, is the celebrated Mumbai neighborhood where some the most spectacular scenes of Slumdog Millionaire were shot including the riot scenes.
The film magnificently captures the congested lanes and other locations of Dharavi, where a young Jamal and his sweetheart grow up.
Six important locations where the film was shot include Kumbharwada (potters` colony) Dhobighat, leather smiths, the pipeline (Slumdog’s opening shot), lanes of Dharavi and the Juhu Slums.
